Our story began long before we realized it.
Our story began long before we realized it. We went to the same high school but somehow never crossed paths until winter break of 2019, when we were both home from college. James invited a mutual friend out in New York City and told them to bring a few people along. One of those people happened to be Gianna. After a night at a hidden Mexican speakeasy, James made sure he left with her number.
We soon returned to schools on opposite sides of the country, with Gianna in Boca Raton and James in Boulder, but stayed in touch despite the distance. Once we graduated and moved back home, our friendship quickly became something more, and we officially started dating in August 2021.
From that point on, we were inseparable. We found not only love in each other, but also a best friend and soulmate. Anyone who knows us knows that laughter follows wherever we go. Whether we are walking around Morristown, making pizzas, playing games, trying new bakeries, visiting the chocolate shop, or spending summers down the shore, we always manage to have the time of our lives together.
As we began planning our wedding, we searched near and far for a venue that felt like us. We wanted somewhere beautiful and elegant, but also warm, joyful, and full of life. The moment we arrived at Montage Laguna Beach, we looked at each other and knew we had found the place where we were meant to begin forever. We cannot wait to celebrate with all of our favorite people and make it a weekend filled with love, laughter, and memories we will cherish for the rest of our lives.
After four years of dating, James surprised Gianna with a proposal in a beautiful garden, followed by an engagement party down the shore with our closest family and friends.
